Bring Process and Discipline for More Impactful Collective Action
Because most sustainability problems are too big to solve alone, yet many collaborative efforts fail to adopt proven methods that deliver results.
- Planning transitions from current state to a desired future state
- Instituting new ways of working for greater impact
- Building stakeholder trust
Collective action drives recovery of a challenging waste stream
To address the complex challenges of plastic waste while maintaining consumer demands in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible manner, ALO facilitated the formation of NLCRC, an industry-led technical coalition of lubricant and packaging manufacturers to drive solutions for post-consumer recovery and recycling of the industry’s packaging. NLCRC’s vision is to establish a program in the United States that recovers and recycles plastic packaging used to transport lubricants for commercial and consumer use that, at a minimum, meets the definition of recyclable.
Improving water security in watersheds throughout Latin America
ALO has an ongoing commitment to deliver improvements in water security and help our multinational private sector clients (and their partners) enhance associated collective action implementation processes throughout LatAm. Recent work includes efforts in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Jamaica to deliver three to five-year water security plans for important watersheds in each of those countries, with similar assignments commencing in Guatemala and Uruguay.
