Miriam is an economist with a deep interest in data analysis. She has experience in building informed decisions from data-driven insights to improve operations. She started her career at FEMSA Foundation, where she got experience in strategic planning and finance. She applied her knowledge in topics related to water security, water replenishment, sanitation, water availability, risk management, environmental governance, culture transformation, and circularity.
She is a creative and flexible person that learns quickly and applies her knowledge to reach objectives effectively and efficiently. She has worked alongside water funds in Latin America, where her data analysis skills helped set a methodology for informed decision-making for the first stages of the water funds. Additionally, she has had a diverse cultural exposure, which helps her adapt easily to cross-cultural environments.
Miriam holds a BA in Economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Economics with a specialization in econometrics from Lund University. Based in Lund, Sweden, Miriam is currently collaborating with the Sustainable Future Hub’s Student Network from the Lund University’s School of Economics and Management, principally, in a project with a start-up based in China regarding sustainability in the textile industry.
